The EPR InnoPET filament was developed by the research department at BASF Ultrafuse. This filament can be processed across a wide temperature range and at variable print speeds. PET is food-safe and does not produce any unpleasant odors during the printing process. Furthermore, a heated print bed is not necessary, as EPR InnoPET adheres well to a print platform covered with Blue Tape. This excellent material is available as a transparent, neutral filament and in various colors on 750 g spools. PET (polyethylene terephthalate) is best known for its use in the production of beverage bottles, and its properties will significantly advance the 3D printing industry. Currently, PLA and ABS are the most commonly used monofilaments for 3D printing. PLA is a popular material because it is easy to process, but it has limitations in terms of stability. ABS allows for the printing of very stable parts, but processing is not without its challenges due to the shrinkage that occurs during the cooling phase. The fumes generated during the printing phase of ABS printing are harmful. This is precisely why PET is more than just an alternative: it is easy to process and does not produce harmful fumes during printing. It is also suitable for detailed prints and is recyclable. The printed models also exhibit high stability. BASF Ultrafuse EPR InnoPET can be used with virtually any 3D printer. In addition to the transparent, neutral filament, we offer a wide variety of different colors. Note: The colors of this material were changed in November 2020. Previously, the colors red, blue, yellow, green, and orange were slightly translucent. The new colors are now solid colors, without translucency. Remaining stock of the old colors can still be purchased while supplies last and are now listed in the color selection as "Red Translucent," "Blue Translucent," etc. Since then, only the solid colors without translucency have been produced. Note: Today’s BASF Ultrafuse filaments were sold under the brand name Innofil3D until the end of 2019. The Dutch manufacturer was previously acquired by the German chemical company BASF. As part of the acquisition, the filaments were renamed and the packaging was changed. The printing material itself remains the same high-quality filament as before.
