Polymaker Polydissolve S1 PVA Natural 1.75 mm 750 g

PVA (polyvinyl alcohol) is a water-soluble support material that is usually processed as a secondary material with a dual-extruder 3D printer. The Chinese premium filament manufacturer Polymaker has developed a particularly high-quality PVA filament, which is excellently suited for use in combination with PLA, TPU, PVB (PolySmooth) and also nylon (PA) filaments. PolyDissolve S1 offers greater design freedom. Complex models and geometries, which would not have been possible before, can be realized with the PVA filament. The support structures do not have to be removed manually, but disappear without residue when dissolved in tap water. The washing water can then be poured into any casting connected to a sewage treatment plant. Since PVA is water-soluble, the printing material must be stored in a dry environment. Air humidity can decompose the filament, so that it is no longer printable. We therefore recommend a Polymaker Polybox for correct storage. PVA filaments are often used for 3D prints with complex geometries where flawless surface quality is required. The filament is therefore often used for design prototypes and exhibits. Especially architectural models or even complex representations in mechanical engineering are often difficult and complicated to realize in FDM 3D printing. Private users also use the material for detailed figures or models. The PVA makes post-processing much easier and enables components that would not have been possible before. Note: In February 2022, Polymaker has started to convert all filaments to cardboard spools. This conversion will proceed piece by piece over a longer period of time. Both the manufacturer itself and we as a distributor will of course first sell off the old stock before we have the new spools available. The filament itself remains unchanged by this conversion, it is only a change in packaging, as well as a new EAN and SKU number.
