PolyLite™ ABS is made from a special ABS resin polymerized in large batches, which contains significantly fewer volatile components compared to conventional ABS resins. It offers excellent print quality with minimal odor during printing. Which 3D printers can print PolyLite™ ABS? Depending on the size of the models you want to print, PolyLite™ ABS may require a closed 3D printer or even an actively heated chamber. Generally, an open 3D printer with a bed temperature of 90°C and a print temperature of 260°C can handle models smaller than a fist. For larger prints, you’ll need an enclosed 3D printer (~40–50°C); for models larger than ~15–20 cm in any direction, an actively heated chamber is required (~70°C+). Proper bed adhesion can also help ensure that larger parts can be printed without warping or distortion issues. We recommend Magigoo or BuildTak as adhesive and bed surface options. Print and Curing Settings Print temperature : 245°C - 265°C Bed temperature : 90°C - 100°C Print speed : 30mm/s - 50mm/s Fan : OFF Retraction distance: 1 mm Retraction speed: 20 mm/s Indirect drive: Retraction distance: 3 mm Retraction speed: 40 mm/s Curing settings: 70°C for 6 hours (Only if the material has absorbed moisture) Can PolyLite™ ABS be post-processed with acetone? Yes, PolyLite™ ABS can be smoothed with acetone. WARNING: Acetone is a hazardous chemical; please handle it with the necessary safety precautions. We recommend PolySmooth™ as a safer alternative for creating models with a smooth surface.
