Polymaker ASA (acrylic ester-styrene-acrylonitrile) is a popular alternative to the 3D printing standard ABS (acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer). Compared to ABS, ASA is significantly more UV-resistant. ASA does not become brittle or fragile even during longer outdoor use. It is therefore considered to be extremely weatherproof. In addition, the filament produces a matt, silky surface, which is often perceived as being of very high quality. With the PolyLite product range, the Chinese premium manufacturer Polymaker offers an easy and inexpensive entry into the world of technical materials. The kilogram spools are always available at fair and reasonable prices, but at the same time offer the usual high quality. Polymaker ASA filament is commonly used in outdoor applications. Private users use the print material for example for shovel handles or brackets in the garden or on the balcony. Industrial users also use ASA for example in the automotive industry or mechanical engineering. Thanks to its high temperature resistance in combination with UV resistance, ASA is ideal for covers in the interior of cars, which can easily survive hot summer days. Note: In February 2022, Polymaker has started to convert all filaments to cardboard spools. This conversion will proceed piece by piece over a longer period of time. Both the manufacturer itself and we as a distributor will of course first sell off the old stock before we have the new spools available. The filament itself remains unchanged by this conversion, it is only a change in packaging, as well as a new EAN and SKU number.
