ABS (Acrylonitrile-Butadien-Styrene) is one of the most common technical materials. It combines high stiffness with good impact resistance and is excellently suited for technical applications and moving parts. Due to its matt surface quality, improved printability and water resistance, the filament is used for precision printed objects such as buttons, lids and handles, but also for electronic and device housings as well as models and prototypes. We recommend to store the filament hermetically sealed and combined with desiccant. For the printing process itself, we recommend the use of construction board adhesive to ensure good adhesion of the printing bed. With the pressure profiles integrated in BCN3D Cura you get a suitable pressure profile for ABS.
