The combination of ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) and PC (polycarbonate) brings together the best properties of both plastics. Clariant ABS 3D printer filament consists of a high-quality, free-flowing ABS combined with Clariant additives and pigments to ensure high material performance, end-use stability, and excellent color. The material is characterized by high impact strength, toughness, and heat resistance. Additionally, the chemical company Clariant uses additives that minimize unwanted yellowing caused by ultraviolet radiation and reduce thermo-oxidative degradation. Due to its strength, impact resistance, and chemical resistance, polycarbonate is a highly attractive material for technical products. Clariant Polycarbonate 3D printer filament is manufactured from a high-performance, versatile, and highly transparent polycarbonate that delivers end-use parts of excellent quality. A specially formulated Renol® masterbatch is added to improve processability during 3D printing. Thanks to specially developed additives, the material is easier to process than comparable filaments. Nevertheless, it is an industrial plastic. We therefore recommend paying particular attention to using the correct adhesive and adhering to the parameters recommended by the manufacturer.
