The combination of ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) and PC (Polycarbonate) ensures that the best properties of both plastics are combined. The Clariant ABS 3D printer filament is made of a high quality, easy-flowing ABS, combined with Clariant additives and pigments to ensure high material performance, end-use stability and excellent color. The material is characterized by high impact strength, toughness, and heat resistance. In addition, the chemical group uses Clariant additives that minimize unwanted yellowing caused by ultraviolet radiation and reduce thermo-oxidative degradation. Due to its strength, impact resistance and chemical resistance, polycarbonate is a very attractive material for technical products. Clariant Polycarbonate 3D printer filament is manufactured from a high-performance, universally applicable and highly transparent polycarbonate that delivers end user parts of excellent quality. A specially formulated Renol® masterbatch is added to improve processability in 3D printing. The material is easier to process than comparable filaments due to specially developed additives. Nevertheless, it is an industrial plastic. We therefore recommend that special attention be paid to using the correct adhesive and the parameters recommended by the manufacturer.
