Fillamentum ABS Extrafill 'Cobalt Blue' is a premium 3D printing filament based on Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene, distinguished by its intense, deep blue color and exceptional surface finish. This material is characterized by high toughness, heat resistance, and mechanical strength, making it the ideal choice for functional prototypes and durable parts. Compared to standard PLA, ABS offers higher temperature resistance and is less brittle, although a heated print bed and an enclosed chamber are essential to minimize warping caused by rapid cooling. For optimal results, a nozzle temperature between 240 and 260 °C and a bed temperature of 90 to 110 °C are recommended. The filament is perfect for technical applications, enclosures, model making, and tools requiring stability. Due to slight emissions during printing, proper ventilation should be ensured. Post-processing methods such as sanding, painting, or vapor smoothing (acetone) are easily achievable to further refine the surface.
