BASF Ultrafuse PET in vibrant Orange is a premium 3D printing filament based on PETG, manufactured by Forward AM, a leading provider of Additive Manufacturing solutions. This material combines the ease of printing of PLA with the mechanical properties and chemical resistance of ABS. It features excellent tensile strength and stiffness, making it ideal for functional prototypes and durable parts. The filament has a diameter of 2.85 mm and weighs 750 g, providing ample material for extensive printing projects. The recommended printing temperature ranges between 220 °C and 240 °C, while the heated bed temperature should be set to 70–80 °C. An enclosed build chamber is not strictly necessary but can be beneficial for better results with large parts. PET is also recyclable and resistant to oils and greases, making it a more eco-friendly and long-lasting option compared to other materials. However, it should be noted that PET tends to cool down quickly, so proper cooling is essential to avoid warping. With its bright orange color, this filament is particularly suitable for eye-catching models, markers, and technical applications where high visibility is required.
