Intamsys PA6-CF Filament in Black is a premium 3D printing material based on Polyamide 6, reinforced with carbon fibers. This combination combines the excellent mechanical properties of nylon with increased stiffness and dimensional stability from the fibers. The filament is ideal for applications requiring high strength and heat resistance, such as functional prototypes, mechanical parts, and fasteners in the automotive and machinery industries. PA6-CF features low moisture absorption and improved surface finish compared to pure nylon. For optimal print results, a nozzle temperature between 260°C and 280°C and a heated bed temperature of 80°C to 100°C are recommended. Due to fiber reinforcement, a hardened steel or brass nozzle is advisable to minimize abrasive wear. Although the material offers high tensile strength, it is more prone to layering at too fast print speeds. Drying before printing is highly recommended to achieve the best results.
