MakerBot Method Tough PLA in vibrant Orange is a high-quality 3D printing filament designed specifically for the MakerBot Method printing system. Unlike standard PLA, this material offers enhanced toughness and durability, making it ideal for functional prototypes and tools. It combines the ease of use of PLA with the strength of ABS, resulting in prints that are more resistant to impacts and stress. With a diameter of 1.75 mm and a weight of 750 g, it is suitable for medium-sized projects. Recommended print temperatures range between 200 °C and 220 °C, while the heated bed should ideally be set to 60 °C. This ensures stable adhesion and minimizes the risk of warping. Suitable applications include mechanical parts, enclosures, and fixtures requiring higher load-bearing capacity. However, Tough PLA is less heat-resistant than ABS and should not be used for high-temperature applications. Thanks to the precise manufacturing tolerances of the MakerBot Method system, you can expect consistent and accurate results.
