Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) is a semi-crystalline plastic that tends to warp during the transition from the molten state to the solid state. This can lead to dimensional deviations and cause the component to detach from the build plate. The Fluorinar-C™ filament is based on a PVDF copolymer and prevents these typical problems. Traditional annealing by printing in a heated chamber is also not required. Fluorinar-C™ ensures excellent print quality, precise dimensions, and very strong adhesion to the build plate—ideal for industrial applications where reliable, warp-free results are required. Fluorinar-C™ PVDF filament enables the printing of large parts with perfect bed adhesion: the parts remain flat and stable, even after cooling. This innovation is a cost-effective alternative to machining and offers additional flexibility—components can be printed directly or produced as solid semi-finished parts and then machined. This makes the material an excellent filament choice for reliable PVDF 3D printing.
