Prusa Nylon is a high-quality technical filament known for its exceptional mechanical strength, toughness, and abrasion resistance. This material is ideal for printing functional prototypes, gears, hinges, and other components that need to withstand high stress. Nylon is characterized by high impact resistance and flexibility, making it a versatile material for technical applications. For optimal results, it is recommended to set the printing temperature between 260°C and 280°C. A heated print bed with a temperature of 80–100°C is required to minimize warping. Additionally, the use of a glue stick or a lacquer on the print bed is recommended to ensure better adhesion. Due to its tendency to absorb moisture from the environment, nylon should be kept dry before printing to avoid print defects. Although nylon is slightly more challenging to process than standard materials like PLA or PETG, it convinces with its superior mechanical properties and durability.
