The Prusa XL PA Nylon Powder-coated Print Sheet is a high-quality printing surface specifically engineered for printing with Nylon filaments (PA). This coated sheet provides excellent adhesion, which is crucial for successfully processing Nylon, as this material can present challenges during printing due to its tendency to shrink and warp. The powder coating ensures a uniform surface that promotes reliable adhesion of the first layer while facilitating easy removal of printed objects. Nylon is renowned for its high strength, toughness, and heat resistance, making it ideal for functional prototypes and durable components. Recommended print settings include a nozzle temperature of 260–280 °C and a bed temperature of 80–100 °C. To further optimize adhesion, a bonding agent such as a glue stick or specialized adhesive can be applied. Applications range from mechanical gears and bearings to robust enclosures. Key strengths of this combination include improved adhesion and reduced warping, while potential limitations include the finite lifespan of the coating and the need for careful maintenance.
