ABS, or acrylonitrile butadiene styrene, is one of the most widely used industrial thermoplastics, offering excellent mechanical properties and good heat resistance up to 90 °C. Parts printed with ABS are used not only during the prototyping phase of product development but also in the later stages of functional testing and assembly. Printed ABS parts have been successfully used in manufacturing with or without post-processing. A heated bed and a closed chamber are required for successful ABS printing; an air filter is recommended for printing ABS in offices, factories, and indoor environments.
