Since we frequently receive inquiries regarding the compatibility of Ultimaker filaments, we would like to inform you that this filament can be used in all Ultimaker printers. However, the built-in NFC chip can only be read by the Ultimaker 3 and the Ultimaker S5. Ultimaker Nylon filament is already used by numerous manufacturing companies worldwide. It stands out for its high durability, strength-to-weight ratio, flexibility, low friction, and corrosion resistance. Its ability to withstand mechanical stress makes the Ultimaker Nylon filament an excellent choice for 3D-printed tools, functional prototypes, and end-use parts. The simultaneously released version of Cura provides useful material profiles, allowing even complex models to be printed easily and reliably. The filament spool contains an integrated NFC chip that communicates material information and the remaining length of the filament directly to Cura. In addition, the Nylon filament works perfectly with Ultimaker 3 PVA material. PVA is a water-soluble support material that can be completely removed in a water bath after printing. This combination allows you to print the 3D model without geometric restrictions. Visit the Ultimaker Troubleshooting website or our FAQs for helpful tips on troubleshooting and optimizing your 3D printing process.
