BASF Ultrafuse ABS Red by Forward AM is a premium 3D printing filament based on Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS), known for its excellent toughness and heat resistance. This vibrant red filament is ideal for technical applications and functional prototypes that require high mechanical strength. With a diameter of 2.85 mm and a weight of 750 g, it is perfect for use in professional 3D printers. The recommended printing temperature ranges between 240 °C and 260 °C, while the heated bed temperature should ideally be set between 80 °C and 100 °C to ensure good adhesion. A closed build chamber is highly recommended to prevent warping caused by rapid cooling. Key strengths of this material include its high impact resistance and the ability to chemically smooth it with acetone, resulting in a smooth surface finish. However, ABS can be prone to warping if the ambient temperature is too low. This filament is particularly suitable for automotive applications, model making, and enclosures that require high resistance to heat and mechanical stress.
