The Buddy3D Tasting Pack PLA Glitter & Silk offers an excellent opportunity to explore the diverse possibilities of 3D printing with PLA. This set from Prusa combines the aesthetic benefits of glitter and silk effects with the familiar positive properties of Polylactic Acid (PLA). The material is characterized by high stiffness and low shrinkage, making it particularly beginner-friendly. For the best print with the silky sheen, a slightly increased nozzle temperature between 210 °C and 230 °C is recommended, as this enhances the silk effect. A heated print bed should be set to 50 °C to 60 °C to ensure good adhesion. These filaments are ideal for decorative objects, vases, jewelry, or toys where appearance is paramount. However, they should be avoided for functional parts subject to high mechanical loads or temperatures above 50 °C. Due to the glitter particles, a hardened steel nozzle may be advisable to prevent premature wear.
