Since we frequently receive inquiries regarding the compatibility of Ultimaker filaments, we would like to inform you that this filament can be used in all Ultimaker printers. However, the built-in NFC chip can only be read by the Ultimaker 3 and the Ultimaker S5. Ultimaker Tough PLA is an engineering-grade PLA filament that rivals ABS in terms of durability. Its printing characteristics are similar to those of standard PLA. It is therefore easy to print and does not emit harmful fumes. This makes it ideal for printing larger-scale engineering models.
