Bambu Lab PETG Translucent Refill Violet offers an excellent solution for users seeking high mechanical strength combined with aesthetic transparency. PETG (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol) stands out for its toughness, impact resistance, and good chemical resistance, making it more versatile than PLA and easier to print than ABS. This translucent violet filament enables the creation of semi-transparent objects that scatter light, creating unique visual effects, perfect for decorative lamp shades or artistic designs. Recommended printing temperatures range between 230°C and 250°C, while the heated bed should be set to 70°C to 80°C to ensure good adhesion and prevent warping. A critical setting is cooling; a reduced fan speed (approximately 20-30%) is advisable to maximize layer adhesion and enhance transparency. PETG is also food-safe and odorless during printing. Strengths include resistance to UV light and moisture; however, the tendency for stringing can be a challenge, which can be optimized through careful retraction tuning. This refill is cost-effective and eco-friendly as it is supplied without a spool.
