Extrudr PLA BASIC Transparent is a premium 3D printing filament based on Polylactic Acid (PLA), designed specifically for applications requiring a clear, transparent look. This filament stands out for its high transparency while maintaining good mechanical properties. It is ideal for decorative objects, light guides, glasses, or prototypes where light transmission plays a key role. The material is biodegradable and emits a neutral, pleasant odor during printing. For optimal results, we recommend a nozzle temperature between 190°C and 220°C and a heated bed temperature of 0°C to 60°C. Since PLA has minimal shrinkage, a heated bed is optional but can help prevent warping on larger objects. An enclosed build chamber is generally not required. To achieve maximum transparency, it is crucial to use a slower print speed (approx. 30-50 mm/s), as rapid movements can negatively affect layer adhesion. While PLA BASIC Transparent offers high toughness and stiffness, it is less heat-resistant than ABS or PETG and should not be exposed to temperatures exceeding 55°C. Additionally, it is somewhat susceptible to moisture, so dry storage is recommended to maintain print quality.
