BASF Ultrafuse TPC 45D by Forward AM is a high-quality thermoplastic copolyester (TPC) based on TPU, distinguished by its exceptional flexibility and elasticity. With a hardness of 45D, this material offers the perfect balance between softness and stability, making it ideal for applications requiring both flexibility and shape retention. Compared to standard TPUs, TPC 45D exhibits improved resistance to oil, grease, and chemicals, along with high resistance to abrasion and hydrolysis. Additionally, the filament is food-safe (FDA compliant), making it particularly versatile. For optimal print results, a nozzle temperature between 220 °C and 240 °C and a heated bed temperature of 40 °C to 60 °C are recommended. Due to its elasticity, a direct drive extruder is preferred, and printing should be done at a reduced speed to prevent feeder jams. The material is excellent for producing seals, hose connectors, mechanical springs, sports equipment, and durable protective casings. The only limitation is the need for dry storage, as moisture can impair material properties.
