Kimya PETG-S Translucent is a high-quality 3D printing filament based on polyethylene terephthalate glycol (PETG). This material stands out for its exceptional toughness and impact resistance, making printed parts more durable against shocks and breakage compared to standard PLA. The translucent property allows for unique light effects, as light passes through the material without being fully transparent. Kimya PETG-S is chemically resistant and offers good thermal stability, making it ideal for functional applications. For optimal results, a printing temperature between 220°C and 250°C, along with a heated print bed of 60°C to 80°C, is recommended. Adequate ventilation is advised to minimize deposits. The material is perfect for mechanical parts, enclosures, lamp shades, and decorative objects requiring light transmission. Its strengths include high durability and ease of processing, while limitations include sensitivity to moisture, necessitating dry storage.
