Polymaker PolyLite ASA Naturally is a premium 3D printing filament based on Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylate (ASA), specifically engineered for outdoor use. Compared to standard ASA, PolyLite offers improved toughness and impact resistance while maintaining excellent weather resistance. The material is resistant to UV radiation, ensuring that printed objects do not yellow or become brittle even with prolonged sun exposure. Additionally, ASA has a higher heat deflection temperature than PLA, making it ideal for applications in warmer environments. For optimal print results, an extruder temperature between 240°C and 260°C is recommended, along with a heated bed temperature of 80–100°C. Due to its tendency to warp, a heated enclosure is advised to achieve stable prints. PolyLite ASA is particularly suitable for functional prototypes, outdoor applications, garden equipment, and enclosures that must withstand weather conditions. Key strengths include its good surface quality and ease of processing, while the need for an enclosed print chamber and the characteristic ASA odor during printing are limitations to consider.
