PolyLite PETG Klar by Polymaker is a high-quality PETG-based 3D printing filament that stands out for its exceptional optical clarity and ease of use. This material combines the transparency of Polycarbonate (PC) with the user-friendliness of PLA, producing no significant odors during printing. PETG is known for its high toughness, impact resistance, and chemical resistance, making it an ideal choice for both functional and decorative applications. PolyLite PETG Klar offers a glossy surface finish and impresses with minimal warping, ensuring the successful printing of even large models. For optimal results, a printing temperature between 230 °C and 250 °C and a heated bed at 60–80 °C are recommended. An enclosure is optional but can be helpful for very large objects. Typical applications include translucent enclosures, light covers, lab equipment, and mechanical parts that need to withstand stress. Its strengths include excellent flow and low tendency for stringing. A limitation of transparent PETG is that layer lines can remain visible on vertical surfaces, so careful tuning of cooling and print speed is essential.
