Polymax describes a series of filaments which the manufacturer Polymaker has improved with a "nano-reinforcement" technology. The Polymax PLA can be printed easily like common PLA, but has better properties. It is more resilient and more reliable in printing. The material offers up to 9 times the impact strength of regular PLA and 20% improvement over ABS. Due to a "Jam-Free" technology, the material does not soften until the hotend and does not clog while still in the feed hose. These properties create an easy to use material that produces very good surfaces and at the same time has improved mechanical properties. Note: In February 2022, Polymaker has started to convert all filaments to cardboard spools. This conversion will proceed piece by piece over a longer period of time. Both the manufacturer itself and we as a distributor will of course first sell off the old stock before we have the new spools available. The filament itself remains unchanged by this conversion, it is only a change in packaging, as well as a new EAN and SKU number.
