Prusa PLATFORM RING - CW1S is a premium PETG filament engineered for the demands of modern 3D printing. PETG (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol) combines the best qualities of ABS and PLA, offering high toughness and impact resistance without being prone to warping. This filament is distinguished by its excellent chemical resistance and good thermal stability, making it ideal for functional parts and mechanical applications. For optimal results, a printing temperature between 230°C and 250°C and a heated bed temperature of 70°C to 85°C are recommended. While an enclosure is not strictly necessary, it can be beneficial for larger prints to minimize heat dissipation. PETG is hygroscopic and should be dried in an oven at 50-60°C for about 4 hours before printing. Suitable applications include enclosures, mechanical joints, bearings, and objects intended for outdoor use, as PETG is more UV-resistant than PLA. However, note that PETG is prone to stringing and requires careful retraction settings. It is also slightly more susceptible to scratching than PLA. With Prusa PLATFORM RING - CW1S, you get a reliable material that delivers precise and durable print results.
