Prusament PETG Recycled Black is a premium 3D printing filament from Prusa Research, made from recycled materials, making it an eco-friendly choice for conscious makers. PETG (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol) combines the best properties of PLA and ABS: it is easy to print, chemically resistant, and offers high toughness and impact resistance. This material is ideal for functional parts, mechanical components, and objects requiring some heat resistance up to around 70 °C. Due to its low tendency to warp, PETG is suitable for larger prints. Recommended print settings include a nozzle temperature of 230-255 °C and a bed temperature of 75-90 °C. An enclosed build chamber is optional but can help with very large objects. Key strengths of PETG include its good adhesion, smooth surface finish, and high resistance to moisture and oils. However, note that PETG can be more prone to stringing and requires slightly slower cooling than PLA. Prusament stands out with its excellent dimensional accuracy of 1.75 mm ± 0.02 mm, ensuring consistent and reliable print results.
