Prusament PETG Ultraglow Green is a premium 3D printing filament from Prusa Research, renowned for its exceptional glow-in-the-dark properties. This PETG material combines the durability and chemical resistance of standard PETG with an intense luminous effect in the dark. The Ultraglow effect is achieved through special phosphorescent pigments that absorb sunlight or artificial light and slowly emit it as a green glow. This makes it ideal for decorative applications, toys, or safety markers. Recommended printing temperatures range between 230°C and 255°C, while the heated bed should be set to 75-90°C. An enclosed build chamber is not strictly necessary but can help minimize warping for larger objects. PETG offers good tensile strength and impact resistance, though it is more prone to stringing than PLA. Adjusting print speed is crucial for optimal results. The filament has a diameter of 1.75 mm and weighs 1000 g, sufficient for numerous projects. It is particularly suitable for creating glowing decorations, keychains, or modular parts that need visibility in the dark. Strengths include high glow intensity and mechanical durability, while limited shelf life of the pigments and slightly more demanding print settings are potential limitations.
