Recreus FilaFlex 82A 'Gold' is a premium TPU filament (Thermoplastic Polyurethan) in 1.75 mm diameter, distinguished by its exceptional flexibility and durability. With a Shore hardness of 82A, this filament offers the perfect balance between elasticity and stability. The material is specifically designed for printing functional prototypes, flexible accessories, and durable mechanical parts. Key material properties include high abrasion resistance, oil and grease resistance, and excellent recovery force, allowing deformed parts to return to their original shape. For optimal results, printing with a Direct Drive extruder is highly recommended, as Bowden systems may lead to errors due to the filament's flexibility. The recommended printing temperature is between 220 °C and 230 °C, while the heated bed temperature should ideally be set between 0 °C and 50 °C. A slow print speed of 15 to 30 mm/s ensures precise results and prevents clogging. Suitable applications include seals, flexible joints, protective cases for electronic devices, and custom insoles. Despite its many strengths, users should note that TPU is more challenging to process compared to rigid materials like PLA or ABS and requires a well-tuned printer. The gold finish adds an elegant and premium look to printed objects.
