Polymaker PolyMax Tough PLA in Blue is a high-quality 3D printing filament designed for applications requiring enhanced strength and toughness. Unlike standard PLA, PolyMax Tough PLA offers improved impact resistance and tensile strength, making it ideal for functional prototypes and mechanical parts. The filament is based on a proprietary PLA blend that combines the ease of printing of PLA with the mechanical properties of ABS. Recommended print settings include a nozzle temperature of 210–230 °C and a bed temperature of 0–60 °C, depending on the printer used. The high heat resistance and low shrinkage ensure precise and reliable prints. Suitable applications include model making, functional parts, enclosures, and tools. Strengths include easy handling, low warping, and high surface quality. A limitation is the limited heat resistance compared to high-performance materials like polycarbonate. With a diameter of 1.75 mm and a weight of 750 g, the spool is compatible with most common 3D printers. The blue color gives printed objects an appealing and professional look.
