Polymaker PolyMax Tough PLA in Green (1.75 mm, 750 g) is the ideal solution for users who want to combine the ease of printing PLA with the mechanical resilience of engineering plastics. This filament utilizes PolyMaker's proprietary Nano-reinforcement technology, which delivers significantly improved mechanical properties. Compared to standard PLA, PolyMax Tough PLA offers superior impact strength and toughness without sacrificing good temperature resistance. The material is particularly resistant to deformation and does not break easily, making it an excellent choice for functional prototypes and durable tools. Recommended printing temperatures range between 210 °C and 230 °C. A heated bed is not strictly required but is recommended at 45 to 60 °C for optimal first-layer adhesion. Due to its low shrinkage and warping tendencies, this filament processes very easily. Applications range from mechanical parts, casings, and fixtures to toys that can withstand drops. Its strengths include high surface quality, ease of printing, and stiffness. It is important to note that this is still a PLA-based material that may soften at very high ambient temperatures (above approx. 55 °C).
