PolyMax Tough PLA from Polymaker is the ideal solution for users seeking the ease of use of PLA without sacrificing mechanical strength. This material offers up to 900% greater impact resistance than standard PLA, even outperforming ABS and PETG. The chemical modification of the polymer ensures excellent layer adhesion and minimizes the risk of delamination, resulting in particularly durable and reliable prints. This filament is perfect for functional prototypes, durable mechanical parts, jigs, and enclosures that need to withstand impact. Despite its high toughness, it behaves like standard PLA during printing: it exhibits no warping and is virtually odorless. We recommend a printing temperature between 210 °C and 230 °C, along with a heated print bed of 25 °C to 60 °C for optimal results. PolyMax Tough PLA is available in the attractive color Turquoise and calibrated to 2.85 mm (with a tolerance of ± 0.03 mm) on 750 g spools. Please note that while the dataset lists a 1.75 mm spec, the product title indicates '2.85 mm', and this item is technically designed for a 2.85 mm diameter.
