Polymaker PolyMax Tough PLA in Violet is the ideal material for users who want to combine the ease of printing PLA with the mechanical durability of engineering-grade plastics. This filament utilizes Polymaker's proprietary Nano-Reinforcement technology, improving toughness and impact strength by up to 800% compared to standard PLA. The material retains the stiff dimensional stability of PLA while offering resilience against impact and breakage typically found only in ABS or Nylon materials. It is perfect for functional prototypes, load-bearing brackets, robotics parts, and enclosures that need to withstand daily wear. The printing characteristics are excellent, offering reliable printing with minimal warping. Recommended printing temperatures range between 210 °C and 230 °C. Due to the enhanced toughness, a hardened steel nozzle is recommended to minimize wear, along with a heated print bed at 60 °C to 70 °C. Although stronger than regular PLA, it is not heat-resistant and should not be used in environments exceeding 55 °C. With 750 g spools, Polymaker provides ample material for larger projects in this vibrant, high-quality violet.
