Polymaker PolyTerra PLA in Orange is an eco-friendly and high-performance 3D printing filament designed for users who prioritize ease of use and print quality. Made from Polylactic Acid (PLA), a biodegradable thermoplastic derived from renewable resources, this filament offers excellent stiffness and strength, making it perfect for both functional prototypes and decorative items. PolyTerra PLA is formulated for easy processing, exhibiting minimal warping and delivering smooth surface finishes. Recommended printing temperatures range from 190°C to 230°C, with a heated bed temperature of 25°C to 60°C; an enclosure is not required. Key strengths include low warping, a matte finish, and Polymaker’s initiative to plant a tree for every spool sold. However, limitations include lower thermal resistance compared to engineering materials like ABS or PETG, making it less suitable for applications exposed to high temperatures.
