Flashforge ASA Black is a premium 3D printing filament made from Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylate, designed specifically for outdoor use and functional parts. ASA offers excellent UV resistance and weatherability, ensuring printed objects do not fade or become brittle even with long-term sun exposure. Compared to ABS, ASA produces fewer unpleasant odors during printing. The material also impresses with high toughness and heat resistance, making it ideal for technical applications. For optimal print results, a heated bed temperature of 90–110 °C and a nozzle temperature of 230–250 °C are recommended. An enclosed build chamber is beneficial to minimize warping. Suitable applications include automotive accessories, garden furniture, housings for electronic devices, and prototypes for outdoor use. Key strengths include ease of processing, low shrinkage, and a matte surface finish. However, note that ASA is sensitive to moisture and should be dried before printing to avoid print defects.
